Tree Wardens

The Tree Warden Network in Reading is run in partnership with the Tree Council, Trees for Cities and Reading Borough Council.  It aims to mobilise a coordinated team of volunteers who are committed to the care and awareness of tree’s in their neighbourhoods.

The Tree Wardens organise an annual programme of talks, walks and tree planting activities across the borough.   If you are interested in receiving regular updates or getting involved  with the Tree warden network contact us by email.

Upcoming events:

Public lecture: Trees under threat by John Stokes (Tree Council)
Tuesday 25th March 6pm, Kennet Room, Civic Centre, Reading.

  • How to spot diseases affecting our trees
  • How to keep your trees healthy
  • Q&A session with the speaker

The event covers your garden and neighbourhood tree’s.  There will be a free tree pack to take away.

Tree planting: Thursday 27th March from 10am
Brunel Road, Southcote, Reading

Please come along to help plant tree’s in this area as part of a scheme to improve streets across Reading.  The Big Tree Plant fund and Trees for Cities have provided the tree’s – we hope you can provide some ‘manpower’ to get them in the ground!

For information on either event, please email RWTN directly.
